Carey’s Fondue Bake

This one also came from of the great ladies from  Again, I’ve never made this one, but it does sound pretty good.  If you make it, let us know how you liked it!!

16 Boneless chicken thighs

2 Tablespoons butter

1-14 oz. can of artichoke hearts drained & cut up.

8 slices bacon,fried & crumbled

Fondue Sauce:

3 tablespoons butter

1.5 cups heavy cream

2 cups shredded swiss cheese

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon white or black pepper

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup dry white wine ( if the phase your in allows it) otherwise leave it out.

For fondue sauce:

Melt butter,add salt pepper & nutmeg,add cream,shredded cheese ( and dry wine if using it )stir until cheese is melted.

Lightly brown chicken thighs on each side ( approx. 15 minutes )and arrange in 13×9 baking dish, place artichokes on chicken,sprinkle on crumbled bacon ,pour fondue sauce on top of chicken and bake for approx.35-40 minutes uncovered at 350 degrees
